General Rules
- An artist is limited to register for only five solo events.
- No restriction for group items.
- In main stage group events such as the Fashion Show and Freestyle, each company is limited to participating with only three teams per event.
- No Negative marking for Non Participation.
- In group events, you may register multiple groups, but ensure that participants are not shared across them
- Prohibiting the presence of materials resembling or reflecting the company’s identity, including items like ID cards, is enforced strictly during stage activities.
Rally
- The cumulative score for the rally is determined by merging both participation points and points for theme presentation.
- Members exceeding 100 will receive full points,While others will receive points proportionate to their numbers. If any company having total employees strength below 100, they will get points according to their attendance.
- Rally competition teams are free to choose their own theme, and additional points are awarded for effectively conveying the theme during the rally and in their mode of presentation

- Two participants will perform on opposite sides of a screen.
- The performance must integrate mirror reflection techniques, wherein the dancer on one side mimics or mirrors the movements of another on the opposite side.

- Vattapattu (Boys oppana)
- The participation is restricted to a range of 5 to 10 individuals, exclusively for gents.

- Participants should recreate a film song.

- Participants will be evaluated based on the character portrayed, creativity, and presentation skills.
Acting – Group
- Comedy Skit
- Makeup, drapery, and live voice are permitted for the skit.
- The voice for the comedy skit should be that of the individual performing the skit, using their own live voice.
- Personal remarks, defamation, character assassination, etc. are strictly prohibited.
- Only innocent satire or humor is expected in the skit.
- There shall be 2-10 participants allowed for the skit.
- The duration of the skit should be between 8 to 10 minutes.
- Mime
- There shall be 2-6 participants allowed for the skit.
- The act or idea must be presented solely through gestures and body movements, without the use of words.
- Maximum time allowed including set up time is 10 minutes.
- Tableau
- Maximum time allowed for the event is up to 1 minute.

- You are supposed to replicate a movie scene.

Writing
- Story Writing (English/Hindi/Malayalam)
- The maximum time permitted for writing the short story is 1 hour.
- The topic for the story will be provided on the spot.
- Participants must strictly adhere to the specified language for the competition.
- No reference materials are allowed during the competition.
- Evaluation will be based on qualities such as character delineation, plot construction, theme, diction, correctness and style of language, and overall impression.
- The short story must be original and not copied or condensed from any other writings.
- Poem Writing (English/Hindi/Malayalam)
- The maximum time allotted for writing the poetry is one hour.
- The topic for the poem will be provided on the spot.
- Participants must strictly adhere to the specified language for the competition.
- No reference materials are allowed in the competition hall.
- Evaluation will be based on qualities such as theme development, diction, imagery, emotion, appropriate use of language, and general impression.
- The poem must be original and not borrowed or copied from others.
- Essay Writing (English/Hindi/Malayalam)
- Participants must strictly adhere to the specified language for the competition.
- No reference materials are permitted during the competition.
- The subjects will be provided on the spot.
- The maximum allowed time for writing the essay is one hour.
- Evaluation will focus on qualities such as the development of the theme, composition, tone, appropriateness of style, correctness of language, originality, and overall impression.

- Poster Designing
- Maximum participation is limited to 3 individuals.
- The item will be conducted impromptu, with the topic/subject provided on the spot.
- Sheet size is set at 15” x 22”, and will be provided.
- All materials required for the competition must be brought by the participants.
- The duration for the activity will not exceed 2 hours and 30 minutes.
Troll Competition – Solo
- Topics & Rules will be provided on the spot.
- Trolls can be made on any software.
- The troll should not contain any personal criticism / attack.
- The troll should be immaculate of obscenity.
- Troll can either be in English or Malayalam.
- Only original trolls created by the contestant are eligible for the competition.
- No logo to be included in the trolls.
- Trolls should be watermarked as ‘TARANG SEASON 2’.

Photography
- The competition will take place spontaneously, based on the theme provided on the spot.
- The time duration for the event is restricted to 6 hours.
- Participants are permitted to use digital cameras; however, mobile phone cameras are not allowed.
- Each participant is required to submit three photographs taken by themselves, all based on the given theme/topic.
- Judging criteria for the photographs include content, composition, sensitivity, creativity and style.
- Both color and/or black & white photographs are acceptable for submission and evaluation.
- Entries must be original and not modified or edited in any manner.
- Participants need to submit the camera along with the memory card to the Stage Manager for verification/formatting before the start of the competition.
- For digital photographs, the format of the entries should be compatible for transfer to a computer without any issues.
- Additional instructions, if any, will be announced at the time of the competition.
Fashion Show (Solo)
- Total time allowed is 2 minutes.
- The contestant is required to supply offline audio files containing background music, preferably in mp3 format.
Extempore(Malayalam)
- The subjects will be provided on the spot.
- 1 minute will be provided for preparation.
- The duration for the elocution is set at 5 minutes.
Mr. Techie
- Survival of the fittest till the completion of all the rounds.
Miss. Techie

Group
Antakshari
- Language – Malayalam.
- A team should consist of 10-15 members.
- Round scores will be announced only upon the completion of each round.
- If there is a tie, a tiebreaker will be conducted among the teams that have achieved the highest scores.
- The decision of the judges will be conclusive and binding.
- Each company is allowed to have only one team participating.
- For every round, it is required to have a team captain.
- Teams with the lowest scores may face elimination after each round depending on the total teams.
Fashion Show (Group)
- Total time allowed: 10 minutes.
- Number of participants restricted to 4-10.
- The contestant is required to supply offline audio files containing background music, preferably in mp3 format.
Short Film
- A team can consist of 12-15 members, including participants, choreographer, and coordinator (Only employees are allowed in the film)
- Maximum video duration should not exceed 10 minutes.
- Teams are free to choose their theme.
- Vulgarity is strictly prohibited, and any form of obscenity will result in the disqualification of the team.
- The usage of cigarettes, alcohol, and any unfair means is strongly prohibited.
- The decision of the judges will be conclusive and binding.
Quiz
- Only team entries are allowed and team shall consist of 2-3 persons
- Limited to 2 teams per company
- The decision of the quiz-master will be final and will not be subjected to any change
- The participants shall not be allowed to use mobile or any other electronic instruments during the quiz time. Anyone suspected by an official will be disqualified
- The quizzes are all in English, but you may answer in Malayalam or in English
- A team will be given only 30 seconds to answer a question. If the team is unable to answer, the question will be passed into the next team.
